Woke up from a dream to the sea breeze and the ocean waves. It is 5:00am on a Sunday morning. I rolled in bed a couple of times and couldn't go back to sleep. I decided to get out of bed and start the coffee.
As I was preparing the coffee maker, I Looked out the window and I see the white tips of the waves rolling in. The moon is soft, bright and reflecting into the water. The palms are slowly fanning it's tips as it creates the cooling beautiful breeze. My hair felt the whoosh of the breeze and it gently brushed my body. It was neither hot or cold and it was the perfect temperature.
Everything looked peaceful, no cars, no noise and no one out. It is just me in the living room standing by this big window overlooking the ocean.
As the morning breaks, I saw the first person jogging in a pace of total control. What is going through his mind? I say he is in total relaxation just him and the road. His stride looked like he has been running for a long time and truly enjoys it. As Bruce says; runners have no tummy because they run so much even though they eat all day long.
The coffee starts to brew and the aroma fills the air. I was faced with a decision, should I turn on the T.V. or play with computer or enjoy more of that moment of silence and beautiful scene.
Being on the island of Kauai reminds me of going back to the simple way of life. A place where there is no rush, no decisions to make, and no planning. You roll with the waves, and listen to nature and appreciate it's beauty and most importantly; "learn a message". The message is that everyone should enjoy life and earth as if there was no tomorrow. There is no good time but today.
